Dr. Wupen Yuen

Wupen Yuen is President of Global Business Units at Lumentum (NASDAQ: LITE), advancing optical and photonic technologies for cloud and AI, networking, industrial, and sensing markets. A 25-year photonics veteran, he joined Lumentum through its acquisition of NeoPhotonics, where he was Chief Product Officer. Yuen holds a PhD from Stanford.

Dr. Chuck Mattera, Founder and CEO of Avalanche Thinking, is the retired Chairman and CEO of Coherent Corp., where he led II-VI Incorporated’s transformation into a global leader in engineered materials, photonics, and lasers built on a compound semiconductor platform. His four-decade career, beginning at AT&T Bell Laboratories, spans the technologies and scalable manufacturing behind fiber-optic communications and today’s AI data centers.

Yoshiaki Sato joined NTT in 1987 and has led a broad range of R&D initiatives, including high-speed optical communication systems, the commercialization of video communication technologies, and corporate research strategy. After serving as Director of the NTT Science and Core Technology Laboratory Group, he became President and CEO of NTT Electronics Corporation. He currently serves as Executive Adviser to NTT Innovative Devices Corporation, the successor company to NTT Electronics Corporation.

Dr. Ashkan Seyedi

Ashkan Seyedi is Vice President and General Manager of Optical Interconnects Business Line at ams OSRAM, leading the development and commercialization of optical interconnect technologies that support AI infrastructure and high-performance computing. Previously, he held key positions at NVIDIA and Hewlett Packard Labs pioneering silicon photonics. He earned a Ph.D. from USC and has been a key contributor to photonics innovation throughout his career.

Dr. Thomas Liu is an Optical Communications Consultant at FIT. He previously served as Vice President at Lumentum, Chief Operating Officer of Cloud Light Technology, Vice President of Global Operations at O-NET Communications, and Chief Executive Officer of Hisense Broadband Multimedia Technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland. .

Dr. Wei-Ping Huang is a Non-Executive Director and Founder of Ligent, and a Professor and former Dean at the School of Information Science and Engineering, Shandong University. An IEEE Senior Member and a member of The Electromagnetics Academy at MIT, he was recognized in Stanford University’s World’s Top 2% Scientists list in 2024.

Dr. Hong Hou is President and CEO of Semtech and serves on its Board of Directors. He has been an independent director of Wolfspeed since 2025. A seasoned technology executive, he previously held leadership roles at Brooks Automation, Intel, Fabrinet, AXT, and Emcore, and holds a Ph.D. from UC San Diego.

Ernest Muhigana is Senior Director of PLM at MACOM Technology Solutions, with 25 years of semiconductor experience in high-speed communications, data center networking, and optical transport, including work on next-generation optical MSAs and standards. He previously held engineering and technical marketing roles at Alcatel, Broadcom, Mindspeed, Vitesse, and Lumentum, and holds degrees from Tsinghua University and United Business Institutes.

Dr. Hao-Chung Kuo is a Chair Professor in the Department of Photonics at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University and Director of the Semiconductor Research Center at Hon Hai Research Institute (Foxconn). Specializing in Micro LED, VCSEL, and compound semiconductors, he is a Fellow of Optica and IEEE.
